Mask Face Cloth Doll

no one will have one the same

A brief discription
I start with a mould of the face,  Fabric is stretched, manipulated and glued to the face.  The head is then hand sewn up the back & stuffed with Synthetic Filler.
Once this is done the time consuming painting of the face begins, which consists of up to 5 coats, which are sanded between each coat to create a silky smooth finish.
Then many layers are applied to create the unique and beautiful colouring of the aborigine and great care is taken to do this beautiful face justice.
The body is made with cotton material and filled with same fill as head. Fingers & toes are hand stitched to make them more real & each doll is signed,  Wendy Frank dolls are one of a kind (OOAK)
Clothes are designed, made & sometimes painted by Wendy & each is unique.

Back in the fold

It's been a while to get back to concentrating on my dolls again after heading out on our new lifestyle, Grey Nomading around Australia, but I have been working on a couple of dolls here and there.
I took some photos of some in our new environment which adds a nice touch, I think.
I've yet to put a few on ebay but these are all for sale,  all $120 plus postage or $100 each for the little ones without shoes/sandals. Except Angel.
